Armenian Prosecutor-General meets Iranian Minister of Justice

Prosecutor-General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, has held a meeting with the Iranian Minister of Justice Amin Hossein Rahimi who is visiting Armenia.

The Iranian ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, also attended the meeting.

Vardapetyan attached importance to the development of “cooperation between the sectoral agencies of the two countries,” her office said in a press release.

Iranian Minister of Justice Amin Hossein Rahimi expressed gratitude to Prosecutor-General Vardapetyan for the meeting and readiness to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The minister praised the Armenian Prosecutor-General’s efforts towards fighting corruption in Armenia. In this context, a number of issues concerning the extradition of fugitives and ensuring legal support were addressed.
