YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Sarik Minasyan as acting mayor of Gyumri.
“I appointed Sarik Minasyan as acting mayor of Gyumri in the presence of all our candidates,” Pashinyan said on social media.
Minasyan was the winner in the city’s primaries, which was held to resolve the city governance crisis after multiple resignations in the body.
He will serve as mayor until early elections of the city council in March 2025.
