PM holds meeting with outgoing Italian ambassador

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has held a farewell meeting with the outgoing Italian Ambassador to Armenia Alfonso Di Riso.

PM Pashinyan said that during the Ambassador’s tenure a positive dynamic of cooperation developed between the two countries. He expressed hope that the cooperation will continue to further develop. The PM attached importance to the expansion of bilateral ties, including in the political, economic and cultural sectors, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.

Ambassador Alfonso Di Riso thanked the Prime Minister for the close cooperation and said that the economic ties have developed over the course of the recent years, particularly in the textile sector. The Ambassador attached importance to the implementation of joint programs in the area of culture and added that the work on organizing a new exhibition is now underway.

The sides also discussed the latest developments in the discussions around Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, as well as the work in the direction of the delimitation process.
