Signing 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh ceasefire agreement was the right thing, says Pashinyan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told lawmakers on Thursday that signing the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh ceasefire agreement with Russia and Azerbaijan was the right thing to do.

The ceasefire deal, known as the Trilateral Statement between the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, was signed on November 9, 2020.

“On November 9, 2020, many of our colleagues were present in my office at that time, I told them I am not interested in anyone’s opinion now, I am assuming responsibility and I will sign this paper. And I consider that I did the right thing. Why I did it is another matter,” Pashinyan said during 2025 budget debates.
