YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. Trade turnover between Armenia and its fellow member states in the EEU grew 7,3% in January-August 2024, Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan said Monday citing customs data.
“If we rely on customs services data, in January-August Armenia’s trade turnover with EEU member countries grew 7,3%. The same growth was seen in the previous years, but we see that the infrastructure is lagging a bit behind. That’s why we have two state programs in Armenia that help create new infrastructure opportunities. We subsidize interest rates with the first program. It is a leasing program that enables to acquire or build agricultural warehouses, refrigerators, processing equipment and others. The second program enables, under the same conditions, to acquire transportation vehicles for shipments,” Khojoyan said at the panel discussion at the EEU forum.
He mentioned the major investments made in road reconstruction.
Khojoyan said the Armenian government in 2024 allocated 150 million dollars for restoring roads, and another 15 million for technical reequipment.
