Prime Ministers Nikol Pashinyan and Irakli Kobakhidze hold private conversation

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze had a private conversation in Tbilisi, which was followed by an extended-format meeting.

According to a readout issued by the office of the Prime Minister Pashinyan, Irakli Kobakhidze welcomed the official visit of the Armenian PM and emphasized the importance of consistent development of strategic relations between the two countries in all fields. The Prime Minister of Georgia emphasized the importance of trade and economic cooperation with Armenia, expansion of business ties and development of infrastructures.

According to the source, Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked for the warm welcome, noting that the intensive nature of mutual high-level visits testifies to the interest of the governments of the two countries to expand and strengthen multilateral cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government of the Republic of Armenia is interested in strategic cooperation with friendly Georgia and emphasized the implementation of joint projects in the fields of economy, energy, tourism, education, culture and other fields.

The parties expressed readiness to continue discussions on joint infrastructure development projects, which will also contribute to the expansion of regional cooperation.

Prime Minister Pashinyan presented details to his Georgian counterpart regarding the discussions on the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the border demarcation process.

Irakli Kobakhidze welcomed the steps towards peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan for the benefit of establishing and strengthening peace and stability in the region. The Prime Minister of Georgia once again expressed his country's readiness to contribute to the normalization of relations between the two neighboring states.
