Speaker calls for dissolution of interparliamentary commission with NK

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan has said that the inter-parliamentary commission formed between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh must be dissolved.

“I personally think that the format must be dissolved because the second party is no longer authorized and doesn’t represent what it used to in the past,” Simonyan said when asked by the opposition Hayastan faction Secretary Artsvik Minasyan whether he intends to convene a session of the commission.  “I think we should seriously discuss the cancellation of that format because no officials of Nagorno-Karabakh exist anymore and no one has such status in Armenia any longer. I don’t know whom I would have to discuss any issues in case such a possible session being convened.”
