Nagorno-Karabakh entity doesn’t exist in legal terms, says Speaker of Parliament

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan has said that the Pashinyan Administration has done more for Nagorno-Karabakh than any other administration before.

“Today’s government, which came to power by the people unlike having seized power, did for Artsakh more than any other government,” Simonyan told reporters. “Then a conspired war began, and everyone knows the organizers and instigators. To blame the government that fought for Artsakh until the end, who fought and did everything, is inappropriate at least after the 2021 election when citizens of Armenia went and gave answers to these questions. Citizens of Armenia gave the answer in 2021, by voting for Civil Contract party, giving 54 percent vote of confidence.”

Asked about the existence of a Nagorno-Karabakh entity, Simonyan said that no such entity exists in legal terms.

He said that the Armenian government is carrying out excellent work in providing support to the forcibly displaced persons of Nagorno-Karabakh.
