Sotk mine functioning with 40% capacity after shutdown during Azeri aggression

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. During the recent Azerbaijani aggression the Sotk mine was shut down and is now re-launched only with 40% capacity, the Governor of Gegharkunik Province Karen Sargsyan told foreign ambassadors in Vardenis.

“The mine was shut down during the military action. The mine didn’t work for three days afterwards. Now the mine is working but only with 40% capacity,” he said, adding that the safety of workers is ensured.

However, employees have fears that the Azerbaijani forces could target the mine.
