Aram I Catholicos suggests giving real support to Syrian Armenians instead of emotional declarations

YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS: His holiness Aram I Catholicos of Cilicia continues to establish links with the responsible persons of Armenian community in Syria. Armenpress was informed about this from information department of Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.

Aram I follows their works with great attention. Getting acquainted with economic difficulties of Syrian Armenian families he allocated money to National primacy for food and other needs.

Aram I Catholicos highlighted the necessity of helping the Syrian Armenians.

“The keeping viability of Armenian communities in Middle East is a priority taking in to consideration the most important and supreme interests of our nation. Armenians in Lebanon remained strong during the war due to unity and belief. The same must do Syrian Armenians. It is not the time to make emotional announcements. We must support Armenians of Syria in order they are able to overcome the difficulties” said the Catholicos.
