“Respect” – Alexis Ohanian on US House passage of Armenian Genocide resolution

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS. Co-founder of “Reddit” and “Initialized Capital” venture companyAlexisOahnian commented on the adoption of the resolution by the US House of Representatives recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

Ohanian shared the statement of US Congressman Adam Schiff on Twitter where the Congressman says he has fought 19 years to make the adoption of the resolution possible. “Respect”, Alexis Ohanian said in response to Adam Schiff’s statement.

“Tens of thousands of my Armenian American constituents have waited decades to see. We will not be party to genocide denial. We will not be silent. We will never forget”, Adam Schiff said.

On October 29 the US House of Representatives adopted the Armenian Genocide recognition resolution based on the results of the voting. 405Congressmen voted in favor of the resolution, while11 voted against.
