Cross-stone eternalizing memory of Armenian captain killed during April war opened

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS. A park and a cross-stone dedicated to captain Hovsep Kirakosyan killed during April war unleashed by Azerbaijan have been opened in Apaga community of Armavir Province in Armenia. “Armenpress” reports Armavir’s Governor Ashot Ghahramanyan, Etchmiadzin Mayor Karen Grigoryan, representatives of Armed Forces and fellow villagers participated in the ceremony.

The ribbon-cuttingceremony was conducted by Hovsep Kirakosyan’s sons, 3-year old Erik and 4-year old Gegham.

On August 23 Hovsep would become 29 years old. He was from Apaga village of Armavir Province, but resided in Artsakh with family in the recent period.

At the moment the adversary attacked, early morning of April 2, Hovsep was at home. He only managed to tell his wife to take the children and hide in the basement, while he, leaving his wife and children at that crucial moment, hurried to his 25 soldiers.
