Rio 2016 – Weightlifter Simon Martirosyan wins silver for Armenia

YEREVAN, AUGUST 16, ARMENPRESS. Team ARMENIA Weightlifter Simon Martirosyan has won the silver medal in Rio Olympics.

Martirosyan lifted 185kg in the snatch exercise by first attempt, followed by 190, however he failed to lift 195 in the third attempt.

Martirosyan started the clean and jerk exercise with 225kg, followed by 227kg, succeeding both. In the third attempt he failed to lift 234kg.

With a total of 417kg Martirosyan won the silver medal.
