Investigative Committee of Armenia receives 127 reports over election violations

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. 127 reports related to election violations were received by territorial subdivisions of Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The largest part of those refers to the alerts spread in media.  As “Armenpress” was informed by the Division of Public Relations and Information of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, 79 of the reports related to violations in Yerevan, 48 – the regions.

Thus, Regional Investigative Department of Shirak received 19, Lori – 14, Aragatsotn – 4, Ararat - 2, Vayots Dzor - 2, Gegharquniq - 2, Syunik - 2, Kotayk – 2, Armavir – 1 report. The alarms received in Yerevan mainly were of Avan and Nor Nork administrative district – 24 cases. Malatia-Sebastia Investigative Department received 15, Achapnyak and Davtashen – 9, Kanaker-Zeytun – 8, Kentron and Nork-Marash – 7, Shengavit – 6, Erebuni, Arabkir and Nubarashen – 5 alerts.

According to the results of investigation, 2 criminal cases were initiated on December 6 related to voting instead of other persons according to Article 153 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
