Half marathon launched in Yerevan by participation of Youri Djorkaeff for first time

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, ARMENPRESS. Half marathon launched in Yerevan by the participation of world famous footballer, World and European champion Youri Djorkaeff for the first time. The start of the first Yerevan half marathon was given in the Republic square, and Youri Djorkaeff was also present there by his symbolic participation. More than 5000 runners not only from Yerevan, but also from about all the provinces of Armenia were participating in the first half marathon. “The first one was difficult, I think we will be able to fulfill all this by more organized way in the next time”, told presidentof theArmenian Athletic Federation Robert Emmiyan, as “Armenpress” reports. Half marathons will be organized in other provinces of Armenia as well.

The start of the half marathon 5km gave theMinisterofSportandYouth Affairsof the Republic of ArmeniaGabriel Ghazaryan and Robert Emmiyan. All the participants of the half marathon received special medals.
