EU to provide 170 million Euros for implementation of 200 more projects in Armenia

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS: The European Union has prepared the cooperation program with Armenia for the upcoming three years and has formed the document on the budget support.

As Armenpres reports, 200 more projects will add to the ones included in the EU document for 2014-2017 cooperation with Armenia. For implementation of those projects the EU will provide up to 170 million Euros, Mr Hoa-Binh Adjemian, Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to Armenia, said today at the discussion of “EU Communication Class”.

“We have projects that concern Armenia-EU cooperation. Regardless of the fact that Armenia joined the EEU, Armenian products will continue entering the European market in a privileged way provided that the 27 EU standards and agreements are implemented and maintained,” said Mr Adjemian.

This year, EU will provide 26 million Euros to the Armenian government for implementation of reforms in the spheres of justice, education, agriculture and human rights.
