Boxer Ani Hovsepyan is in the quarterfinals of the ranking tournament

YEREVAN, MAY 31, ARMENPRESS. Ani Hovsepyan, a member of the women's boxing team of Armenia, celebrated victory in the ranking tournament.

Hovsepyan (66kg) of the ranking tournament of the Paris Olympic Games held in Thailand celebrated victory in the Olympic ranking tournament. This time, the European bronze medalist defeated New Zealand's Sarah Varerau. After winning 5:0 in the first round, Hovsepyan knocked out his opponent in the second round, reaching the quarterfinals.

The tournament held under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee is the last one where boxers will be able to qualify for the 33rd Summer Olympics in Paris. Armenia has not yet won a ticket in boxing.
