Water levels drop in Debed and Aghstev river basins

YEREVAN, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS. As of May 27, 2024, at 08:00, a decrease in water levels compared to the levels observed on May 26, 2024, at 08:00, was recorded in the Debed and Aghstev river basins. Specifically, the water level in the Debed River at the Ayrum observation station decreased by 105 cm, in the Dzoraget River by 70 cm, in the Pambak River by 50 cm, and in the Tashir River by 57 cm, reported Armenian Ministry of Environment.

As of 08:00 on May 27, 2024, the water level at the Dilijan observation point in the Aghstev river basin has decreased by 50 cm compared to the level observed at 08:00 on May 26, 2024.

As of 08:00 on May 27, the water level at the Ijevan observation point of the Aghstev River rose by 35 cm compared to the level observed at 08:00 on May 26, but decreased by 30 cm compared to the level observed at 20:00 on May 26.

The water level observed at 08:00 on May 27, 2024, in the Kirants river basin has decreased by 125 cm compared to the level at 08:00 on May 26.

As for the amount of precipitation, on the afternoon of May 25 and the night of May 26, 40-54 mm of rain was observed in Lori and Tavush. On the afternoon of May 26 and the night of May 27, the amount of precipitation was 2-7 mm, which is 38-47 mm less than the amount observed the previous day.
