Armenia expects at least political assessment from CSTO - Speaker of Parliament

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. At this moment Armenia is expecting from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) at least a political assessment, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan told reporters today.
“I need that no soldier of another country crosses the border of Armenia, which is a member of the CSTO. I have a rhetorical question: imagine that some imaginary enemy crossed the border of Russia, and as a result the city of Sochi has been emptied. Do you imagine that situation? For me, the security and territorial integrity of my country is important”, the Speaker said.
He said that the CSTO should be made to work, if it doesn’t work, they will search for other mechanisms.
“Now we are expecting at least a political assessment, but at the same time, it’s not enough for us and we will not wait for something to happen in order to protect the security of our country because we do not have that time. As long as we have waited, it’s enough”, he said.
