President Khachaturyan, Slovenian Deputy PM discuss bilateral cooperation

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon.
According to the Presidential Office, President Khachaturyan welcomed the visit of the high-level Slovenian official to Armenia and emphasized that Armenia greatly values its friendly relations with Slovenia based on democratic values, mutual respect, and shared interests.
The President expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Slovenia to Armenia. He also highly appreciated the close cooperation established with Slovenia within the structures and frameworks of the European Union, as well as Slovenia’s continued support for various initiatives and programs.
During the meeting, President Khachaturyan highlighted Slovenia’s constructive position on supporting Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its efforts to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The two sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation, stressing the importance of intensifying political dialogue and deepening collaboration in various fields, particularly in the political, economic, high-tech, scientific, and educational spheres. Both parties emphasized the significant potential in these areas, the effective realization of which could contribute to the comprehensive development of both countries.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the regional situation and current challenges. President Khachaturyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to establishing peace and presented the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative proposed by the Armenian government, highlighting its importance as a catalyst for long-term peace and sustainable development in the region.
