Armenian Ambassador to France attends official ceremony marking 110th anniversary of Armenian Genocide in Charenton-le-Pont

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to France, Arman Khachatryan, participated in the official ceremony dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the city of Charenton-le-Pont, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in France said in a statement.
According to the statement, speeches were delivered by Ambassador Khachatryan, Member of the French National Assembly Michel Herbillon, President of the Val-de-Marne Department Olivier Capitanio, Mayor of Charenton-le-Pont Hervé Gicquel, and President of the "French-Armenian Union of Val-de-Marne" organization Delphine Kouyoumdjian.
"Members of the Île-de-France Regional Council, the Val-de-Marne Department, the councils of Charenton-le-Pont and neighboring cities, mayors, representatives of French-Armenian community organizations, and local residents also attended the ceremony and laid wreaths and flowers in front of the Armenian khachkar (cross-stone) installed in Charenton-le-Pont," the statement reads.
According to the Embassy, at the end of the event, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of Karpis Roger Tcherpachian, a French-Armenian businessman and philanthropist who made a significant contribution to the life of the French-Armenian community in Charenton-le-Pont.
