YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan believes that now the discussions hosted by the Catholicos in participation of himself and the other former presidents give the opportunity to comprehensively discuss solutions for the current severe situation and to offer realistic and well-considered solutions to the people and the state.

“Third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan’s position on the dangers around the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh in this geopolitical and regional situation, the severe challenges and threats, as well as the possible solutions has been expressed in his interviews, addresses and statements released in line with the situation by the political party headed by the president,” Sargsyan’s office said in a statement in response to media queries after a meeting between the former presidents of Armenia and Artsakh hosted by Catholicos Karekin II in Etchmiatsin.

“ President Sargsyan believes that in this phase, the discussions in participation of the former presidents hosted by the Catholicos – with whom the Third President is regularly meeting – give the opportunity to comprehensively discuss the solutions for the current severe situation and to offer realistic, well-considered solutions to our state and people. At the same time, reasonable political forces, public and political unions must continue with their everyday work to keep the spirit of struggle alive in the society. President Sargsyan is pleased to note that the latest public speeches by his two colleagues – the First and Second Presidents of Armenia, nevertheless, on one hand are keeping the public discourse active, and on the other hand are leaving the door open for further meetings and discussions,” the Office of the Third President of Armenia said.
