Jordan’s FM highlights peaceful settlement of NK conflict in a meeting with Pashinyan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan Ayman Al Safadi.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the visit of the Jordanian FM to Armenia, noting that it will give a new impetus and energy to the friendly relations between the two countries.

Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the fact of historical relations between the two peoples and added that the Government of Armenia is interested in developing relations in different spheres with Jordan. The Armenian PM particularly highlighted the deepening of economic relations, including implementation of joint investment projects in the spheres of IT, tourism and healthcare.

Ayman Al Safadi thanked for the warm reception and added that his country is also interested in developing and deepening multidimensional relations with Armenia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan expressed confidence that the productive meetings he held in Armenia will result in a new pace in bilateral relations.

In the context of fostering partnership, the interlocutors highlighted the organization of high-level visits and discussion of issues of bilateral interest.

Nikol Pashinyan and Ayman Al Safadi also spoke about issues of regional importance, highlighted the maintenance of stability and security and the peaceful settlement of conflicts.

The PM thanked the Government of Jordan for the balanced position on Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process. PM Pashinyan assessed it inadmissible to give a religious nature to the conflict and present it like that in various international platforms.

Agreeing with the remarks of PM Pashinyan, Ayman Al Safadi highlighted the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict through peaceful negotiations.
