PM Pashinyan attends inauguration of state-of-the-art European Center of Nuclear Medicine in Yerevan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has attended the inauguration of the European Center of Nuclear Medicine, a state-of-the-art facility in the Erebuni hospital in Yerevan.

The facility’s area of expertise is the diagnostics and treatment of thyroid cancer using radioactive iodine.

The administration of the center briefed the PM on the conditions and technical equipment.

The European Center of Nuclear Medicine is equipped with the modern single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). It is used to diagnose all types of cancer, as well as cardiac and bone problems.

Given the specificities of this sector, nuclear physicists will work jointly with the medics at the center.
