Armenian deputy PM meets with Bank of China Chairman in Beijing

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan on November 6 met with Chairman of the Bank of China Liu Liange in Beijing, the deputy PM’s Office told Armenpress.

Bank of China is one of the four biggest state-owned commercial banks in China.

During the meeting the deputy PM introduced Armenia’s economic development prospects, including the investment opportunities in the fields of infrastructures, education, SMEs and high technologies.

Highlighting Armenia’s attractive geographical position and existing favorable environment for business development, Liu Liange expressed readiness to deepen the future cooperation, including within the frames of the Belt and Road initiative.

Deputy PM Avinyan invited the Bank’s Chairman to Armenia to discuss the possible joint initiatives.

At the end of the meeting the sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
