Independence gave us the right to live in our country and make our own decisions – Tigran Avinyan

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan has issued a video message congratulating the public on the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia.

“Dear compatriots, 35 years ago, the people of Armenia chose independence, and over these years we have experienced many bright days and many difficult ones. But I think the most important thing is that we have understood that a state is not something that is simply given. A state must be strengthened, developed and established through our daily work.

“Independence gave us the right to live in our country and make our own decisions, and we must pass this right on to our children by preserving our independence and strengthening our state through our daily work.

“Glory to the fallen, and long live the Republic of Armenia,” Avinyan said in his message.
