Pashinyan offers condolences to Iraqi counterpart on Mosul incident

YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a message of condolence to Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi following the tragic incident in Mosul, the PM’s Office said.

“I was deeply grieved to learn of the tragic incident in Mosul which claimed about a hundred human lives. At this difficult moment, we express our solidarity with you and the friendly people of Iraq.

I offer my condolences to the victims’ families, wishing them patience and fortitude, and the injured – a speedy recovery,”the PM said in the cable.

Nearly 100 people have drowned after a ferry capsized in the Tigris River near Mosul in Iraq on March 21.
