Armenian deputy PM holds meeting with EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Caucasus

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, Matteo Patrone, the Armenian government told Armenpress.

Deputy PM Grigoryan welcomed the guests and highlighted the development of cooperation with a partner like EBRD. He welcomed the ongoing EBRD programs in particular in the private sector.

In his turn the EBRD official thanked for the reception and appreciation and presented the main directions which can expand the cooperation with Armenia.

At the meeting the sides exchanged views on the priorities of the EBRD-Armenia partnership medium-term cooperation program. They both attached importance to the implementation of programs in infrastructure development, energy efficiency and energy saving sectors. The officials also discussed the possibility of implementing capital market development programs in Armenia by the EBRD support which will greatly contribute to the development of favorable investment environment.
