President Sargsyan, Fra Matthew Festing discuss situation in Syria

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Fra Matthew Festing discussed the situation in Syria which has turned into a humanitarian catastrophe, reports “Armenpress”.

“We have also stated with a great pain how the Christians and not only Christians are subjected to persecutions and tortures there”, the President said.

President Sargsyan added that he expressed Armenia’s readiness to have its input in any initiative which will prevent to some extent the elimination of the Christians, the Christian heritage in the Middle East.
