Karen Karapetyan really capable of leading the huge wave of transformations in Armenia – Serzh Sargsyan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Karen Karapetyan is really capable of leading the huge wave of transformations in Armenia, guide the society to new economic and political freedoms, break the deep-rooted stereotypes, make the economy more flexible and so on, President of Armenia, leader of the ruling Republican Party (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan announced at the Executive Body meeting of RPA, adding that the Executive Body of the party unanimously took a decision at his proposal to nominate Karen Karapetyan as a candidate for the Prime Minister of Armenia.

“We are all well aware of Mr. Karapetyan’s abilities and working methods. He is really capable of leading the huge wave of transformations in Armenia, guide the society to new economic and political freedoms, break the deep-rooted stereotypes, make the economy more flexible and so on. I am convinced Karen Karapetyan will be able to become the unique symbol of changes by his effective work. He will be able to lead all the developments by the path defined by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, that is to say, by a modern way.

Previously I have had long conversations with Mr. Karapetyan. We have discussed a lot of issues, ranging from giving new impetus to the economic development to issues referring to the Republican Party, in other words, we have talked almost about everything. I have received a positive answer from an individual ready to confidently guide the wave of transformations. I saw confidence in him and what is most important, belief that all our goals are real and can be realized”, as “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the RPA, Serzh Sargsyan said.

In the words of the Armenian President, it is evident the new Cabinet must work guided by new philosophy under the conditions of the new Constitution. According to Sargsyan, the new Cabinet must not refrain from taking responsibility, not to try finding guilty somewhere else, be open from criticism and cooperation.

“Utilizing the potentials of all Armenians, the new Government must restore the broadest possible trust towards the authorities, find non-standard solutions for our economy and public life that will guarantee the sustainable development of the country and will enhance Armenia’s positions in the region.

The basis of the new Constitution is the efficient utilization of the entire potential of the country, institutional guarantees for the wide public involvement in all the domains. It is impossible to ensure broad public trust without transparent governance and for that reason it becomes impossible to make reforms. I see the main task of the new Government in making such economic reforms as a result of transparent activities that will enhance the grounds of a stable and competitive economy and will give an opportunity to any economic entity to utilize its business potentials without any bureaucratic obstacles”, the Armenian President said, expressing conviction that everything will be OK.
