YERVAN, AUGUST 13, ARMENPRESS. Europe didn’t keep its promise to cancel the visa regime for the Turkish citizens, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with RTL TV Channel, reports “Armenpress”.

He said if Europe doesn’t keep its promise to eliminate visa regime for the Turkish citizens, Turkey won’t accept Syrian refugees from the EU states.

Earlier President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said the EU may introduce visa-free regime for Turkey in autumn 2016 only if Ankara fulfills all requirements.

“Turkey expected the Europe would support it during the recent military coup attempt. The European states should have sent at least one representative to Turkey for support as it was done after the terrorist attack in France”, Erdogan said.
