First Armenian President gives importance to Vienna agreement over installation of monitoring mechanisms

YEREVAN, MAY 17, ARMENPRESS. On May 17 meeting was held between the first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan and the Ambassador of Germany in Armenia Matthias Kiesler in the Federal Republic of Germany, Press Service of the “Armenian National Congress” led by Levon Ter-Petrosyan informed “Armenpress".

Issues related to the internal political situation in Armenia, the Electoral Code and especially the existing situation in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict were discussed during the meeting.

Ter-Petrosyan and Ambassador Kiesler gave importance to the decision made in Vienna on May 17 on the installation of monitoring mechanisms in the Karabakh-Azerbaijani line of contact.

Deputy German Ambassador to Armenia Nadia Lichtenberger and the director of the Office of the first Armenian President Avetis Avagyan took part in the meeting.
