Armenian First President discusses domestic and foreign political issues with French Ambassador

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. On October 24, the first President of the Republic of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, at his private residence held a meeting with Olivier Decottignies, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia.

According to the Armenian National Congress, at the Ambassador's request, Levon Ter-Petrosyan addressed the domestic and foreign political challenges facing Armenia. Furthermore, Ter-Petrosyan expressed gratitude for the sincere and principled support of the French government during Armenia's current difficult situation.

Highlighting the warm and friendly sentiments of the French government and people toward Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan specifically noted the caring and symbolic state ceremonies for the funeral of Charles Aznavour and the burial of the remains of Missak Manouchian and his wife, Mélinée, in the Pantheon.
