YEREVAN, MAY 5, ARMENPRESS. On May 5 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Suresh Babu who completes his diplomatic mission in our country, Press Service of Presidential Administration informed “Armenpress".
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that in recent years the agenda of Armenian-Indian bilateral cooperation has been expanded and developed in various fields and they put the emphasis on new prospective directions that are being developed by both parties. They also stressed the importance of effective communications at intergovernmental and interparliamentary levels and the cooperation of two states within the framework of international organizations.
Ambassador Suresh Babu emphasized the importance of cooperation development with Armenia within the framework of theEAEUstating that the creation of free trade zone with the EAEU is in the interests of India, and works are underway towards that path.
President of Armenia expressed gratitude to the Indian Ambassador for his efficient and active work during the last three years and highly appreciated his role in strengthening and development of Armenia-India relations. Serzh Sargsyan also expressed gratitude to the Indian government for its balanced stance on sensitive issues for Armenia.
Armenian President wished Suresh Babu success in his future activities and expressed the hope that the next Indian Ambassador to our country will carry out his diplomatic mission with the same enthusiasm and dedication.
In his turn, Indian Ambassador expressed gratitude to President Serzh Sargsyan for the high appreciation and the close cooperation and support during the years of his work.
