Armenian National Committee of America urges Barack Obama and US Congress to give urgent aid to Syrian Armenians

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. The US Government must immediately take steps to meet the needs of the Armenian community in Syria. “Armenpress” reports that the Armenian National Committee of America announced about this in a statement addressed to Barack Obama and the US Congress.

They particularly stressed the need for U.S. policymakers to ensure the delivery of aid to at-risk Armenians in Aleppo and elsewhere throughout Syria, to provide humanitarian and housing support for Armenian refugees in Lebanon. “Because of the shortcomings during providing aids many communities, especially the minorities, are deprived of international aids”, reads the statement.
