TEHRAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. “Shao” Square located in Qaem Magham Farhani street in Tehran will be named after Gagik Tumanyan. As “Armenpress” reports, citing “Alik” periodical, special Assistant to the President of the Islamic Republic ofIran forReligious Minorities Ali Ivnesisent a special letter to theIslamic City CouncilofTehran demanding one of the squares of the city to be renamed after Armenian martyr Gagik Tumanyan.

The letter reads that the borders of the country are protected due to the warriors and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Iran’s future.
