Azerbaijan fired over 12,000 shots towards Armenian troops in a week

STEPANAKERT, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS: According to the operative data, provided by the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, within July 19-25 the rival violated the ceasefire regime for about 900 times in the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies. The Press Service of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed Armenpress that during that period more than 12,000 shots were made towards our troops from weapons of different caliber, including 60 and 82 mm grenade launchers and mine throwers.

The frontier troops of the Defense Army of Artsakh gave an adequate response to the rival’s aggressive actions and made the necessary steps to organize confidently the protection of the military positions of the entire line of contact.

In the result of the ceasefire regime violations during the last week, the Defense Army did not have any casualties.

According to the Azerbaijani media, the rival’s army has at least one dead and 8 wounded.
