ABOVYAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan made a working visit to Kotayk Province today. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister first visited the “Ecotomato” CJSC greenhouses for growing roses and vegetables in the Goght community of the province, got acquainted to the work done by the company for extending industrial capabilities, investment, export and development programs, created jobs and the industrial process organized by modern technologies.
It was mentioned that automatic regulation of all activities and artificial lighting is done in the greenhouses, drip irrigation system is installed. The Prime Minister was informed that currently the “Ecotomato” CJSC runs greenhouse complex with a total area of 8 acres, for the construction of which nearly 7.7 billion drams were invested, nearly 120 jobs were created with an average salary of 140 thousand drams.
After Goght the Prime Minister visited “Multi Stone” CJSC stone and timber reprocessing workshops located in Abovyan, where he followed the production process and asked about future plans. Representatives of the company informed the Prime Minister that the company has had quite good results regarding exports (USA, Russia, European countries), and currently extending export markets are being discussed.
After, Hovik Abrahamyan met with some of the community heads of Kotayk Province in the Municipality of Abovyan. The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Karen Chshmaritian, Kotayk Governor Karapet Guloyan reported about the process of State Assistance Programs implemented in the province. After, heads of the communities of the province introduced the programs implemented in their communities and issues requiring urgent solution.
The Prime Minister, summing up the discussion, mentioned that Kotayk Province has a great agricultural potential and the Government is ready to discuss subsidizing long term agricultural programs.
