Delegations from 60 countries and international organizations to visit Armenian Genocide memorial on April 24

YEREVAN, APRIL 20, ARMENPRESS. The launch of the main events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will be given on April 21 at the opening of the reconstructed hall of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. The ceremony will be held on April 21. As reports “Armenpress”, Vigen Sargsyan, the Head of the Armenian President’s Staff, Coordinator of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Events, stated that he finds that the museum is ready for 100 percent.
Among other things, Vigen Sargsyan underscored: “The museum has totally been changed. The exhibition hall’s territory has been expanded for three times, and an interesting exhibition came forth in the result. We all can be proud of the museum, as it conducts tremendous activities both in displaying the current staff and collecting new materials. Alongside with the photos and texts, the exhibition also includes samples, things and objects belonging to the survivors, which display all the depth of the crimes.”
On April 24, the commemoration ceremonies will be launched in the morning, when the delegations from over 60 countries and international organizations will pay a visit to the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute, which will be followed by the main remembrance ceremony. Therefore, it’s is advisable to visit the Tiztzernakaberd memorial after 13:00 PM. The traditional torch march will also be held on the same day in the evening, but a visit to the memorial will be held on April 25 as well.
