Armenian PM says government is carrying out serious programs for Armenia’s economic development

YEREVAN, 8 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of Armenia is carrying out serious programs for the country’s economic development, and the results will be visible soon. This is whatPrime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyanannounced during a press conference at the National Assembly.

When asked if the recent rise in the number of tax inspections having led to the imposition of fines on businessmen (members of the Republican Party of Armenia) are part of those programs, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia said everyone has to pay taxes.“Everyone has to pay taxes, be it a Republican, or the member of another political party. I have said that from the first day when I was appointed Prime Minister, and my position remains unchanged. This is a process that has to be ongoing, and everyone has to pay. We all understand that that can’t happen overnight. There are even people who criticize, but that doesn’t make me stop the process. The activities of the corresponding bodies are in my focus. We have to do everything we can to reduce the number of such cases to a minimum,”the Prime Minister mentioned.
