Armenian PM and IFC Vice-President discuss expansion of cooperation

YEREVAN, 2 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received the delegation led by Vice-President of the International Financial Corporation (IFC) Karin Finkelston.

As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the head of government praised the effective cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the IFC and expressed confidence that Mrs. Finkelston’s visit would contribute to further strengthening of partnership. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed gratitude to the IFC Vice-President for the Corporation’s programs that are carried out in different sectors and are giving new impetus for the activation and future development of the economy.

In her turn, Karin Finkelston expressed satisfaction with the executive of the programs carried out with the Government of the Republic of Armenia and mentioned that there was no problem in that regard. Karin Finkelston mentioned that the IFC was ready to expand projects in the fields of agriculture, industry, infrastructures and innovative technologies and provide the Government of the Republic of Armenia with necessary assistance in resisting potential challenges.

The interlocutors also discussed the perspectives of cooperation between the Development Foundation of Armenia and the International Financial Corporation, as well as issues related to partnership in the spheres of food safety and other spheres.
