Prime Minister welcomed Catholicos of All Armenians

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan welcomedHis HolinessKarekin II, Supreme Patriarch andCatholicos of All Armenians at the government office. As "Armenpress" was informed from the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to His Holiness for the visit paid to the government and noted that he greatly appreciates the activation of the church-state cooperation.

His Holiness sent his best wishes to the Prime Minister and the newly appointed Cabinet members and noted: "We know that many issues and problems are facing the government. We wish you strength, energy and ability to record results in meeting the expectations of our people”.

Hovik Abrahamyan stressed that the ongoing activities of the government will be focused on solving the problems that exist in different areas, and to reach these goals certain projects are to be implemented. Then Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and the Catholicos of All Armenians discussed a range of issues relating to the further strengthening of the church-state ties, the reconstruction activities of the monastery complexes and other issues.
