Datevik Hovanesian to introduce exceptional jazz concert

NEW YORK, JANUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. Upon the initiative of St. Vartan Cathedral of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), the audience will have a unique opportunity to enjoy a jazz concert by prominent Armenian singer Datevik Hovanesian on January 17. The concert lasting over one hour will be held at Haik and Alice Kavookjian Auditorium of New York’s St. Vartan Cathedral. In a conversation with “Armenpress” the database manager of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America Angela Kazarian stated that this is the first time they organize a concert with Datevik Hovanesian’s participation.

Among other things the database manager of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America Angela Kazarian underscored: “A number of people have already expressed a wish to attend the upcoming concert. The audience is very enthusiastic.”

Datevik Hovanesian is a jazz singer, educator, recording artist, and arranger. She held performances in over 30 countries on every continent in every medium; concert halls, clubs, festivals, television and radio, master classes, workshops, recordings. Datevik has appeared in every musical setting up to full big band. Datevik also specializes in ethnic and folk music arranging and singing ethnic and ethno-jazz songs.
