Snowy weather reigns in Aleppo

YEREVAN, JANUARY 10, ARMENPRESS. The weather in Aleppo became much colder. Because of absence of fuel the life of the citizens became much more troubled. Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy in Aleppo Jirair Reisian informed "Armenpress" about this. In addition he stated that in spite of awkward situation the Armenian schools do not cease functioning.

Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy in Aleppo noted that snowy weather reigned in Aleppo and a number of other regions of Syria on January 9. Some of the citizens attempt to heat the houses using firewood. After the midday the whole city sinks into darkness and "the present situations reminds prehistoric age".

Among other things the Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy in Aleppo noted that there are no changes in the political field. One can hear shooting from the distant regions. As to the situation in the central districts of the city, it is calm.

In addition Jirair Reisian mentioned that presently the Aleppo airport is closed. There is information that the airport will start functioning in two weeks.
