Head of the community Henrik Gabrielyan said during last years 50 families got compensations for their collapsed apartments but the issue has not been solved as the landslides intensified during 2010-2011 as well. As a result 19 dwelling houses have collapsed, 50 are considered of 4-degree breakaway and 81 are of third degree.
About 200 houses were damaged as a result of landslides during 2008-2011 of which 50 families received compensation. Part of them bought apartments in other communities. As of the moment forty houses are completely collided, 110 have big cracks. The head of the community said he is particularly concerned that the residents are leaving the community and settle in other villages which results in artificial reduction of the population of the community. Part of the people are living today in wagon-houses, part of them in the houses of relatives. There are families who still live in their breakaway houses.
The specialists of the urban development ministry and Gegharkunik governor's office, governor Nver Poghosyan visited the landslide zone and got acquainted with the situation.
