Tigran Sargsyan urges MPs work in a tough regime

The final discussion of the 2012 state draft budget took place in the National Assembly December 6. Armenpress reports that Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan came forth with a conclusive speech.

He first congratulated Samvel Nikoyan on being elected in the office of the chairman of the parliament, wishing him fruitful activity.

"I am convinced that the effective cooperation between the National Assembly and the Government will continue," the Prime Minister said.

On behalf of the Armenian Government Tigran Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the members of parliament for the discussions of the draft budget and the forwarded remarks and suggestions.

"It has essentially helped the Government to understand the issues our citizens are concerned with. These suggestions gave an opportunity to clarify the budget, enriched thanks to your remarks and suggestions," the head of the Government stressed.

Tigran Sargsyan said rather serious challenges are expected in the coming year. "Together with you we must be ready to work in a quite hard regime. The crisis signals keep the government focused as they have impact on the economies of each state," the prime minister said.

He also stressed that it is necessary to be ready for the implementation of preventive events to keep back the citizens from the negative impact of the crisis.

December 7 at 12.00 pm budget voting will take place at the National Assembly.
