YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS:

The 5th forum of translators and publishers of CIS and Baltic States is held October 24-28 in Yerevan. It is organized at the threshold of proclamation of Yerevan a World Book Capital 2012 by UNESCO and 500th anniversary of Armenia's book printing, with the sponsorship of the Armenian Ministry of Culture and with the support of CIS Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation.

"The forum promotes strengthening of literary, translation and publishing intercultural ties in the post-soviet territory despite the political and economic contradictions existing in the region," Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said.

"The traditional forum promotes exchange of cultural relations and information, expanding its format and geography year by year," said Armenian Deputy Culture Minister Arev Samuelyan.
