Crina Prunariu: Romania tries to keep balance with all partners

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, ARMENPRESS:

From the political viewpoint Romania is trying to keep the balance with all the partners, Romanian ambassador to Armenia Crina Prunariu said, commenting on the recently circulating opinion that Romania is more closely cooperating with Azerbaijan than Armenia.

"I have already stated that we are interested in ensuring energy security of Romania. That is the reason why the economic relations with Azerbaijan are more developed, we cannot deny it", the ambassador said, noting that never in international arenas and in bilateral relations Romania gave preference to another country.

In response to the question whether Romania and NATO are not concerned with the number of violations of human rights in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador said all the international organizations are paying attention to the protection of human rights in all countries.

"No one closes eyes on such cases for the sake of energy and if you objectively study all the reports you will get convinced", the ambassador said.
