YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS:
President Serzh Sargsyan, who is paying a working visit to the United States, left New York for Los Angeles on September 24. He visited the city of Montebello, where he laid a wreath at Montebello Armenian Genocide Monument and planted a tree in the memorial park.
September 25 Serzh Sargsyan participated in the opening of economic forum organized by the RA Central Bank and Association of Armenian Banks. Representatives of the Californian business community attended the event.
In his speech addressed to the attendees the president rated high the usage of full potential of Diaspora for the sake of economic development of Armenia and the country's strengthening.
In Los Angeles Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the new building of consulate general.
On September 25 President Sargsyan participated in the ceremonial reception dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence.
