Armenian daily Hayastani Hanrapetutyun writes today that Armenian President Serzh Sargsian received yesterday world famous singer Charles Aznavour and his impresario Levon Sayan. The president said Aznavour’s services in presenting Armenia to the world through his art and activity is invaluable.  “Every Armenian is proud of having such a compatriot. Through you many people form their attitude towards Armenia,” the president said. The singer shared his impressions of the city saying he was surprised to see the latest changes. The daily writes that President Serzh Sargsian also received singer Sirusho who took the fourth place in Eurovision 2008 song contest. The president handed Sirusho diploma of gratitude for representing Armenia at its worth and said that her performance was impressive and promoted the recognition of the country. The daily also writes that Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian met with World Bank Regional Director Donna Daouset-Coirolo and representatives of the World Bank Armenian office. It says at the meeting present were chief consultant of the Armenian president on economic affairs, finance, economy, justice, education and science, health, labor and social affairs ministers, deputy chairman of the Central Bank, heads of state customs and tax committees. During the meeting the report of the World Bank over the choice of variants of development policy in Armenia for 2008-2012 was presented. The daily also writes that Vice Prime Minister and Territorial Governance Minister Armen Gevorgian introduced new education and science, agriculture and labor and social affairs ministers to the staffs of the ministries. Daily Kapital writes that the preparatory works of the conduction of tender for third mobile operator in Armenia is going on. The package of the terms of the tender will be presented to the government in the coming days. The daily writes that deputy transport and communication minister Vruyr Arakelian said that the government will approve the terms and establish the price from which the tender will start. Daily Hayots Ashkhar writes that the representatives of the foreign ministries of Armenia and Azerbaijan continue active contacts with the states co-chairing OSCE Minsk Group and present their positions through different statements on the eve of the meeting of the leaders of the two countries. In the first stage of the program “Beeline” will provide two computers to each of ten Yerevan schools, free internet, Microsoft on its part will apply learning and communication technology and will organize study processes. Daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that President of Karabakh Bako Sahakian dismissed urban minister Alexander Mamunts replacing him by Anahit Vardanian. The daily also says that according to other information Karabakh culture and youth affairs minister Norek Gasparian is also going to be dismissed.
